A Salisbury mini-history lesson in honor of the upcoming derby: Our Kentucky Julep Cups were inspired by the designs of such early American craftsmen as Asa Blanchard of Lexington, KY and William and Archibald Cooper of Louisville, KY. The cup’s straight body lines and graceful moldings at the base and rim are typical of designs they used. Kentuckians have been giving, receiving, and using the cups of these designs for over 100 years. It is a favorite for weddings, christenings, fairs, and of course, the races!
